Frequently asked questions

Does every back pain mean PLID?

No. Not every back pain is caused by disc prolapse. A proper clinical examination and, if needed, an MRI helps identify the actual cause.

Does PLID always require surgery?

No. Many patients improve with rest, medication, and physiotherapy. Surgery is recommended only in selected cases where conservative treatment fails or when there are nerve-related complications.

When is urgent neurosurgical consultation necessary?

Urgent consultation is needed when symptoms include weakness, foot drop, bladder or bowel difficulty, rapidly worsening pain, or any sudden neurological change.

What is endoscopic brain surgery?

Endoscopic brain surgery is a minimally invasive technique where a small camera and instruments are used to treat brain conditions with less cutting, reduced risk, and faster recovery compared to traditional open surgery.
